Taddition to the corpus of scholarship devoted to the

authors/history/period/discipline in question, and this edi-

tion by Teruel and López-Ríos not only aims to highlight

select “epistolarios inéditos” since 1936 in Spain, but also

to examine such correspondence through the critical lens

of relevant expert philologists and historians. At the same
TRO time, however, in their “Introducción,” the editors are quick

to underline the challenges with reconstructing biograph-

inevitably incomplete collections from destruction by their
S ical and historical details through correspondence due to
own authors to conserve privacy, disappearance due to the
DEL MA war, loss/discarding because of lack of interest or perceived

value, etc. Yet, despite these gaps, accessible correspondence

still provides philologists and historians with critical arti-

facts of insight into the time, life, and work of the writer
